At Greenacres you are free to spend your time with others, or you can enjoy the privacy of your own room. Located within a quiet residential area, but still conveniently close to the A1M, our Hatfield home offers both long term and short term care. The final joint venture was an art project based around sporting icons, inspired by the number of sporting events taking place during the summer.
Also known as Care & Repair agencies, are local non-profit organisations set up to help older people think about, plan, finance and organise work on their homes. These services tackle smaller repair jobs, including installing safety & security devices. Some care homes are registered to provide personal care only, for example help with washing, dressing and giving medication. Others also provide nursing, and will have a nurse on duty twenty-four hours a day. Daily help, including personal care, is available on site and one or more meals are available daily in a dining room or restaurant. Additional facilities are also common – for example hairdressing salons, hobby rooms and gyms.

Open Monday to Saturday from 8am to 5pm, our Hatfield club offers day guests the opportunity to make new friends, whilst taking part in a choice of activities and outings. Here at Greenacres we place an emphasis on caring for residents living with dementia. For services we haven't rated we use ticks and crosses to show whether we've asked them to take further action or taken enforcement action against them. – the service isn't performing as well as it should and we have told the service how it must improve. We reviewed the information and data available to us about Greenacres on 8 December 2022.
Residents created three wonderful paintings which were then auctioned by the team at BT Hatfield to raise further funds for the residents of Greenacres. Valerie created a portrait of Rafael Nadal, Jean and Shelagh worked together to create a portrait of Pelé and Shelagh created a portrait of Lewis Hamilton. Recently residents and staff at Greenacres, our care home in Hatfield, were approached by the kind folks at BT Hatfield and asked if there was anything that they could do to contribute to the home. This lead to a number of projects and events all designed to bring even more positivity and happiness into the lives of the residents.

Organised activities will focus on helping residents maintain their health and wellbeing. The Chef Manager organises every aspect of the catering operation and provides a safe, nutritious, quality service to our residents using freshly produced food. With a hands-on role, leading a team, they provide a quality catering service and help create a warm and friendly atmosphere for our residents. Working with our residents they help to create menus to meet their needs and suit their tastes. They also create and provide fine dining events, using Quantum Care’s award-winning Dining Club concept.
Types of care we support
Just be aware that we do not provide housing or care services ourselves, so we cannot accept applications for housing and do not have any control over the services listed on our site. Those run by private operators more often focus on lifestyle, with help and care services discretely available to buy if or when required. Housing-with-care is a recent but natural evolution of retirement housing to provide an environment capable of enabling older people to maintain their independence even if they become physically or mentally frail.
Deputy Manager’s will each bring their own skill set to the home, some offering more assistance with the business side of things while others focus largely on care. However, whether they look at it from a business or care perspective, the focus of the Deputy is always to ensure that their home is offering the very best quality of life for our residents. Experienced and either holding or working towards their qualifications, Deputy Home Managers are capable and driven to providing the best of everything for their residents. – the service is performing badly and we've taken enforcement action against the provider of the service. However, a paid subscription allows more information to be added and as a result a higher profile score.

Our modern kitchen provides hot, nutritious meals every day and can cater for special dietary needs. There is always a choice of dishes, and residents are involved in drawing up the menu. Greenacres - part of the Quantum Care group - is situated in Hatfield and is a residential home providing specialist dementia care for 60 older people. The home is accredited by Hertfordshire County Council to provide specialist dementia care, and has to undergo a rigorous annual evaluation process in order to achieve that status. The Scottish Care Inspectorate is the official regulator for care services in Scotland.
