It’s an element we can’t stop thinking about and one of our all-time favorite design choices. We went for the ‘wow’ factor with this yard with elements that add a little bit of magic to this backyard. Everything we included is equally as impressive at night as it is during the day thanks to the bold lighting we incorporated into the space.
This is another favorite design because it showcases how transitional, timeless design can transform a space and is the epitome of backyard luxury. For “The Mirage,” we wanted to separate spaces to take full advantage of the yard and let each design element exist in its own area. We added an elevated entertainment zone that’s connected to the rest of the yard by floating steps.

Our process is the same for every client, no matter where you live or what your budget is. We finalize your construction documents with dimensions, materials, and elevation drawings.
Fire and water mix with these incredible bowls that light up with fire and spout water. They’re the perfect blend of nature and they help frame the entire exterior. Because this area is sunken, it feels like you’re in a secluded space when you’re lounging around the fire pit in this seating area. There is a possibility that you may not like our initial concept, however we typically include 3 revisions in the design fee so that we can work to adjust the design to your taste based on your feedback. If the HOA or city has corrections, we will continue to work with you to adjust the design or suggest changes to meet the requirements requested. Our cost is based on the areas we are designing; i.e. just designing your backyard is less costly than doing both the front and back.
This is one of the largest fire features we have ever designed, but it fits into this overall design seamlessly and adds warmth to the entire exterior. If you have a contractor and/or team you know and trust, you can absolutely choose them to build your yard instead of selecting one of our recommended partners. We make the handoff process seamless and make sure your contractor has everything they need to build your design. But, getting your new yard built doesn’t have to be stressful since we make it easy to select a skilled, reliable contractor for your project. Dive into your new pool, host parties, make memories, and finally enjoy the outdoor space you’ve always wanted.
We require a minimum construction budget of $200,000, so unfortunately, we don’t have a design package that fits your needs at this time. When we’re working with a bigger budget, we make sure that our design is as impressive after dark as it is during the day. This means incorporating custom lighting and features that really come to life at night, instead of focusing only on how to create a great experience for our clients when they use their yard during the day. Connecting the audience with the lifestyle of owning a luxury backyard is perhaps one of the most appealing aspects of following Foxterra Design. Aside from informative content that illustrates the possibilities of redesigning your outdoor living space, it’s simply fun to watch these backyard transformations take place.
